Framed Wall Sculpture: 'Digression' No. 5
Wall mounted sculpture in vintage straw cloth, presented in bespoke walnut frame.
External dimensions: 50 × 50 × 8cm.
Artwork dimensions: 36cm diameter, 7cm depth.
The many folded bias pieces of this beautiful sculptural fabric inter-weave, criss-cross and meander over a circular frame, sometimes repeating, sometimes doubling-back, often taking the less obvious path.
My work has always incorporated story-telling, and a sense of ‘taking a line for a walk’. As I worked on this piece, it conjured thoughts of conversations, or journeys… often forging ahead confidently, sometimes meandering or digressing, but always coming to resolutions or destinations.

Material: vintage straw-cloth on metal frame, with silk dupion pieces at edge.
Colour: As with most textiles, over time the colour may alter slightly, depending on the conditions of the room, in particular how much sunlight it is exposed to. Even in a very bright setting, it will be a slow, gradual process.

International £170. Please note - we are sometimes able to ship for a lower price than this. In such cases we will refund the difference afterwards.

Returns
If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, we are happy to offer a refund or exchange. Please notify us by email as soon as possible, and return the artwork to us in the same packaging within 28 days. Unfortunately we cannot refund either original or return shipping costs.
