My work has always incorporated story-telling, and a sense of ‘taking a line for a walk’. As I worked on this piece, it conjured thoughts of conversations, or journeys… often forging ahead confidently, sometimes meandering or digressing, but always coming to resolutions or destinations.
Many folded bias pieces of banana-fibre inter-weave, criss-cross and meander over a circular frame, sometimes repeating, sometimes doubling-back, often taking the less obvious path. Like a journey or a conversation, we digress often, but hopefully get there in the end!

Material: 100% sinamay (banana fibre). Also sometimes called Abaca, it is widely used in the millinery trade - made by independent weavers and small family co-ops in the Phillipines, who work directly with our suppliers, small family businesses here in the UK.
Colour: As with most textiles, over time the colour may alter slightly, depending on the conditions of the room, in particular how much sunlight it is exposed to. Even in a very bright setting, it will be a slow, gradual process. The natural colour here may deepen slightly over time.
Dimensions: Diameter 70cm, depth 7cm. Get in touch if you are interested in commissioning this piece in a different size.
Please note: As a made-to-order artwork, the exact placement of the individual banana-fibre pieces will differ from the photographed sample piece.

International £170. Please note - we are sometimes able to ship for a lower price than this. In such cases we will refund the difference afterwards.
You will be responsible for international duties and local taxes where applicable.
Returns
If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, we are happy to offer a refund or exchange. Please notify us by email as soon as possible, and return the artwork to us in the same packaging within 28 days. Unfortunately we cannot refund either original or return shipping costs.
