This tiny wall sculpture has been created using a fusion of techniques, blending millinery and block-making with intricate and abstract hand embroidery.
Using stitch to give form and solidity, as well as for mark-making, colour exploration and decoration, the ‘Transition’ series offers a visual dialogue between millinery and sculpture.
Original artwork, handmade in London by Karen Henriksen.

Materials: Straw base overlaid with hand-embroidered linen. Threads: a mixture of silk, polyester, cotton and linen.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, we are happy to offer a refund or exchange. Please notify us by email as soon as possible, and return the artwork to us in the same packaging within 28 days. Unfortunately we cannot refund either original or return shipping costs.
