Cockpit X Paul Mellon Centre
I’m delighted that two of my sculptural wall pieces are currently on display at The Paul Mellon Centre, the British art research centre for Yale University.
‘Abundance’ 1 and 2 form part of an exciting collaboration between Cockpit Studios and The Paul Mellon Centre, based nearby in a beautiful Georgian townhouse in Bloomsbury. Over twenty artworks from fifteen Cockpit makers are on display within its public spaces for this inaugural showcase in a new rotational programme at the PMC.
Sarah Victoria Turner, the PMC’s Director commented:
The new rotation of artwork hangs at the PMC are intended to enliven the space and relate to research questions which the PMC is exploring within the field of British Art studies. We hope the artworks will spark new ideas, enrich and complement conversations within our spaces and create an environment that feels welcoming and inspiring to all.
The hang will be on view until the 29 May and is free to visit during the PMC’s opening hours.
