Handmade Sculpted Table Lamp: 'Hive' in light grey banana fibre with walnut base (one-off piece)
The ‘Hive’ lightshade has a softly tailored aesthetic. When illuminated, the differing layers give a pleasing, mark-making effect, reminiscent perhaps of a charcoal sketch.
The banana fibre has been cut and pressed into ribbons of varying width, which are then arranged and hand-stitched together to form an intricate and elegant nest around the handmade drum.
The ribbons stand away from the drum at front and sides, giving an open, 3-dimensional look, but sit flat against the drum at the back, so the lamp can be positioned very close to a wall - perfect where space is limited.
The solid walnut base is handmade in the UK by James Design.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, we are of course happy to offer a refund or exchange. Please notify us by email within 5 days of receipt, and return the lightshade to us in the same packaging within 14 days. Unfortunately we cannot refund either original or return shipping costs.
